  About BRGS history|amenities|pastoral system|memorabilia
The aims of the School - The school aims to bring about the total development of all students, thus enabling them to grow into balanced and responsible adults.

We try to make the school a place where students can discover and develop their talents, interests and abilities to the full. They discover and adjust to their own limitations.

At BRGS students also learn to understand and respect the ideas and attitudes of others in order that all may live and work together in harmony.

Mr M.J. Morris
Headmaster

attitudes and work
When students reach the end of their schooling, they will need good references and appropriate academic qualifications, if they hope to proceed successfully. It is true that a young person with a good character reference and a fully realised academic potential can obtain a suitable placement at university, in training or in employment. One without the other can damage the individual's chances for the future.

This grammar school has excellent facilities and a dedicated team of teachers whose business is to provide the best possible education. I believe in standards and have the highest expectations of your children. At BRGS these expectations can be fulfilled.

communication and co-operation
Students benefit greatly from the high level of skills and commitment which staff bring to their work but teachers cannot do an effective job on their own. When parents take an active interest in their children's education and maintain regular communication with the school, the level of progress and achievement of students is demonstrably higher.
encouragement and discipline
These ideals go had in hand. Home and school need a consistent approach in the process of steering our young people through the difficult stages of adolescence. Our dealings with children must be firm, positive and just. Only in this way can we provide the security of stable and caring relationships. We need to provide moral and spiritual guidance that will form a basis for establishing a set of values for life.
