Dorothy Mitchell -
Founder of the Rossendale Hospice and Musbury Fabrics, Dorothy
Mitchell, has been awarded an MBE.
Although Dorothy has recently stepped down from her position
as founder-chairman of the
Rossendale Hospice she still remains a director of Haslingden
Community Link, PEER (People Encouraging Enterprise in Rossendale)
Support, Vice-Chairman of The Community Network Health and
Well-being Group and is a member of Bacup and Stacksteads
Community Partnership.
Rodney Sellers (1957 –1964) was presented
with an OBE for services to Business in the North-
West and Professor
David Whittaker (1950s) was awarded with an OBE and is a Professor
of Forensic Dentistry at the University of Wales College of Medicine.
