November 2009
Community Pride Finalists
The Environment Group at BRGS were nominated by a local Councillor for the Young Volunteer Award in Rossendale Council’s Community Pride Awards.

This follows the work done in Trickett’s Memorial Ground, maintaining the planter in the centre of Waterfoot, tidying the path between Mount Avenue and Booth Road, and working with community groups including Waterfoot Forward, Close to the Hedge in Bacup and Civic Pride in Rawtenstall.

Emilia Hartwell and Libby Ainsworth represented the Group at the award ceremony in Whitworth Civic Hall. They were presented with a framed certificate and vouchers for Ski Rossendale to share with other volunteers.
