On
Friday 8th July, Year 7 enjoyed a "Creative Writing" day
when Ian Bland, a published children's writer, came into school. Copies
of his books were available for purchasing and signing!
Ian Bland is based in Rossendale and is a part-time primary school
teacher as well as a poet! He spends his time touring the country
and visiting libraries, primary
schools and secondary schools to perform his poetry and lead writing
workshops.
Ian Bland's work has been published
by Oxford University Press, Macmillan Children’s Books, Scholastic
and he was the winner of the poetry prize on 5 Live!
