Going to University

Going to university is one of the hardest things you will ever do, but it is an exciting and very worthwhile experience.

It's not just about getting a job after your degree, it's also an experience which will prepare you for real day-to-day life, and living and working in your future!

Even if you are not sure which career path you would like to follow, university does present you with millions of opportunities you would never normally experience, and this will help you to find out what you want from life.

The university and course that you choose has to be right for you, so it is important to research, research, research!

Make sure you make the right choice by:

» Going to open days at universities you are interested in
» visiting university websites
» ordering prospectuses (usually free to order online from university websites)
» speaking to older relatives and friends who have been to university
» speaking to teachers and careers advisors who have experience of advising pupils about university
