| Why
did you take a gap year? - was it planned? |
I
needed some money before I started uni, and
also as my birthday is in August I didn’t
want to start aged 18.
|
| What
did you do on your gap year, and why? |
| I
worked at Sutton’s and Limelight Signs
for 10 months then went to Spain for 6 weeks. |
| What
were the advantages of taking a gap year?
What did you achieve? |
I
earned money to go to uni with! Always an
advantage as budgets are never easy to stick
to. It also makes me work as I remember how
bored I was sometimes and it reminds me that
that is NOT how I want to live!
|
| Were
there any disadvantages to taking a gap year? |
| Not
really, although my friends from school all
left and are graduating this year and going
of into the real world. |
| Was
the university which offered you a place,
happy for you to defer entry and take a gap
year? |
| Very
happy. I think they prefer it! |
How
did you raise money to fund yourself through
your gap year?
|
| I
worked… |
| Would
you recommend what you did on your gap year
to others? |
| It
depends what you want. If you want some travel
experience then no, but if you just want to
earn some money then definitely. |
