Law
Law pervades our lives. It provides the framework within which a successful society can flourish. Studying law is inspiring, intellectually challenging - and enjoyable.


The course will involve regular work in small groups; energetic and considered participation is expected. You will need to be highly motivted and self-disciplined to obtain the most benefit from the course. Some lessons will require prior preparation and you will be expected to contribute to class discussions.

The course comprises the following subject areas:

» Dispute Solving
»The Concept of Liability
» Criminal Law

Visits
It is anticipated that students will have the opportunity to participate in visits both to a Magistrates and Crown Court. Visits to the House of Commons and High Court are also planned and students will be able to participate in mock trial.
