  BRGS Sports Hall Progress
 
Planning permission for the Sports Hall at BRGS was granted on Thursday 2nd September 2004 and demolition on the site started on Saturday 23rd September 2004.

Photographs are taken regularly as the building work continues so you will be able to keep track of progress.
Students using the facility for the very first time! 4th January 2006.


Year 9 students queue to use the Sports Hall for the very first time on Wednesday 4th January 2006. Year 9 raised the most money for the Sports Hall through organising various fundraising initiatives.

On Monday 6th December 2004, the High Sheriff of Lancashire, Gail Stanley, took part in a ceremony to mark the start of the Sports Hall building. Alan Torevell, Chairman of the BRGS Sports Hall Appeal Committee, Neville Cormack OBE, Chairman of the BRGS Governors' Building Committee, David Kenworthy, Managing Director of Wardens Builders (the building contractors), and other members of the Sports Hall Appeal Committee attended the ceremony. BRGS students Jessica Brown, Alex Maxwell, Thomas Kershaw and Michael Hindle are pictured.
