BRGS students participated for the first time in the Physiological Society's Bio Bakes competition.  Although judged independently on a national level by the Physiological Society, an internal competition was held too with Head of Science, Miss Byrne leading a team of BRGS judges, including Mrs Porteous, who organised the baking competition for BRGS students. 

Look away if you are squeamish because the BRGS winners were as follows:

First place:  Lauren with her ridiculously realistic version of a heart 

 

2nd place:  Poppy's 'Brain of Britain'

Joint 3rd place went to Sienna with her teeth cake and Sarah with her hobbit's foot:

Highly commended were Luscious Lungs and Chocolate Creamy Cranium:
